Lapis Marbling

Lapis Marbling This one was fun ive recently been watching Ron Cambell playing with the iridescent paints and i wanted to try , although i didnt use the jo sanga paints , i did have some acrylic paints i tried it with. and i didnt use string i used a different technique to give me the soft marbling look. wood is cottonwood acrylic paint finish is zinssers top coat shellac sealer. size is little over 7.5 " in diameter and 6.25 " tall

String pull vase

This is a vase turned from Iroko, 6"x3". thevase was spray painted with black gloss paint and then decorated with Jo Sonja iridescent paints using a string pull effect. Finished with a clear coat laquer

Water drop bowl

This is a 12"x2"bowl made from Elm. The rim of the bowl has been embellished using water, two shades of blue enamel paint and White enamel. The top of the bowl was spray painted with light blue paint when dry water was sprayed on to form droplets. The darker blue and white were then sprayed on from opposite sides of the bowl forming shadows. The bowl was then left for 24 hours for the water to evaporate. the inside of the bowl was then finished and sprayed with clear coat laquer

Multicolor Bowl

This is a simple segmented bowl that endevors to use the natural colors of the various woods to make an attractive package. The woods used are Purple Heart, Cherry, Olivewood, Mahogany, Padauk and Walnut. The bowl is 5" high and 9" in diameter at the top and is approximately 3/8" thick. The bowl was made in 2017 and contains 136 pieces.
