After turning and sanding my bowl to 220 grit . I used air and a tack cloth to get rid of the dust . I apply as many coats as needed of General Finishes Seal A Cell . After it has dryed for 48 hours I apply a top coat of General Finishes Arm R Seal Gloss . I love these products. They work well . I put a total of 8 coats of Arm R Seal and waited a week or so in between coats . Sanding with 400 grit and tack clothing it before each coat . The more coats the more depth it brings out .

Cherry vessel

A vessel made from cherry with a lid made from sapele and a finial made from hawthorn.

The after turning all 3 were sanded up to 1200 grit then a coat of acrylic sanding sealer applied followed by 2 coats of carnuba wax applied and burnished.

Holey Ambrosia

Holey Ambrosia This is a piece of Ambrosia maple i got from Doug sharf about a year ago and finally got around to finishing it. I love the way maple cuts it's super nice and when it's finished the Ambrosia really pops . The holes were some bark inclusions that i intended to fill with inlay but as i was hollowing one of the little bits of bark came off. The natural look really looked nice with this form and i decided to keep it natural. Also it was a great piece of wood from doug. Finish is linseed oil 7.3125 in diameter 4.750 tall

Dancing Juniper Mountain juniper i cut from the datil mountains ,this piece is super rich in color and the turquoise really pops, this is a big piece at 10.5" in diameter and 13.5" tall ,finish is general finish arm-r-seal oil and urethane top coat gloss, then buffed with the three stage beal buff ,skipped the carnuba wax and used renaissance wax.

“Scarab” is an Egyptian inspired mulberry hollow form with African Blackwood accents and multi-axis turned finial. The bow ties are inlayed charcoal and epoxy to serve as both aesthetic and structural purposes. Big Leaf Maple Burl Dyed Hollowform

This beautiful piece of Big Leaf Maple Burl was hollowed and then dyed with blue and green dyes to highlight the gorgeous figure. The removable finial is made of Ebony finished with a wipe-on oil finish. The hollowform is finished with multiple coats of a clear epoxy.

Cherry Burl Ovoid Hollowform

This cherry burl ovoid-shaped hollowform was hollowed leaving large voids and bark inclusions. It measures 14 1/2" diameter. It was finished with multiple coats of wipe-on Minwax Antique Oil and polished with the Beale buffing system.
