Kim was looking for a luxury rustic look to go with her new Arhaus couches. We used her existing table and completely refinished it using a custom blend General Finishes Water Based Stains and Dyes. Now this table will be the perfect compliment to her new decor.

This antique server has been given an updated look with an antique cherry colored water based stain and now she looks OOO LA LA SEXY! This was a custom order and an heirloom. I was able to breath new life into this old piece of furniture so it could be enjoyed for many more years. The top was sanded and stained a beautiful Antique Cherry color. The rest of the server was painted a soft white color and then I applied an antique glaze to give some definition. The original handles were scrubbed cleaned with a toothbrush and now look how they shine!

This solid cherry was in serious need of resurrection. Once sanded, beautful grain appeared from under years of neglect. The top was finished in General Finishes Walnut water based stain, and coated in HPTC The base was primed and coated in SW Mindful Gray. The hardware was updated with new cup pulls from DLawless Hardware.

Heather, a long time client, came to us wanting to refinish her Grandmother’s Bodart Furniture. This beautifully made furniture was originally done with the typical cream and green French Provincial factory finish and repainted years ago. But Heather was wanting a fresh sophisticated look for her teenage daughter.

We completely refinished these nightstands using General Finishes Water-Based Stains to give them the perfect shade of gray!

Restoration Hardware Inspired Natural Oak Dresser

This large Drexel Heritage oak dresser belonged to my grandparents. And as much as I don’t get sentimental about pieces of furniture (since I have to let so many go), this one was really special to me. I wanted to highlight the beautiful wood while moving it out of the 70’s and into a more current look. With some inspiration from RH and using General Finishes Water-Based Stains, we update the piece with a beautiful natural oak custom finish. Adding new turned legs and vintage inspired hardware complete this incredible transformation.

Mid Century Summer Nights Dream

This Mid-Century Serving Bar had all the beautiful classic lines of the era. It also had all of the nicks, stains, scratches, and scapes of a half-century of wear and tear. After thoroughly cleaning and prepping the surface, General Finishes Water Based Stain in Walnut was applied over the exisitng finish. High Performance top coat was then applied to protect the finish. Fabric was added to the center drawer as a finishing touch. The entire piece was transformed back to its original glory all the while staying true to the Mid-Century era without all of the drama (and trauma).

This beauty was stuck in the 80's with faux distressing and a dated stain color. I stripped the top and cleaned and sanded the base of this table. After applying Zinsser 123 primer and spot sealing bleed through with Kilz original oil based primer, I sprayed on a coat of silky smooth General Finishes milk paint in antique white using my Homeright Super Max sprayer. These 2 companies have made my job MUCH easier!! After a coat of High Performance Top Coat by General Finishes, I applied Van Dyke Glaze effects full strength in the dark crevices and adding clear mixing glaze to create the lighter shading. While that dried, I used General Finishes water based stain in Espresso. Finally, I applied High Performance Top Coat in Satin to the entire piece. Now she's a French Provincial inspired Belle of the ball!

Cerused beauty! After this rustic dresser was cleaned and stripped I applied dye stain then sealed with wax free shellac. Lime wax was applied and wiped back to highlight the natural patterns of the gorgeous tiger oak. The body was painted in a custom gray which complements the grain beautifully, then sealed with a flat topcoat.
