6 Chairs: I painted an undertone of GF Driftwood, followed by a custom mix of GF Snow White and Antique White, then lightly distressed to bring through the Driftwood color.

Table: The base of the table was done exactly like the chairs. As far as the table top goes, I stripped and sanded it down so you could see the beautiful herringbone pattern. I sealed the top with Oil and Wax by Old Barn Milk Paint to help bring out the natural raw beauty of the wood, but everything else is the set was sealed with 3 coats of GF HPTC, flat. To add a special little touch, my husband made a flower box/centerpiece for the table and I painted it GF Driftwood to tie everything together. <3

Cedar Slab Coffee Table

This beautiful coffee table was refinished in a creamy white, delicately distressed and topped with brand new glass. But the true beauty of this piece lies beneath the glass in the live edge cedar slab. The wood was fit to the table and finished to reveal all its natural beauty. The knots and lines are truly remarkable and the slab appears to be just floating under the glass (even though it is secured to the table). This stunning table is sure to stand out in any room!

Antique Tiger Oak Buffet

This is just the most incredible buffet! The gorgeous quarter sawn oak has been stained in General Finishes Java, a rich warm brown. New vintage style brass knobs, a black and a white floral papered interior, and velvet lined drawers make this truly one of a kind.

The Carved Cupboard

The rich details and woodgrain finish of this elaborately carved cupboard had slowly faded over time. Sunlight, environmental factors, waxes and wear had all taken their toll. The nicks, dings, scratches and fading were well beyond "character" marks and had become a distraction to the overall beauty of this unique piece. After a thorough cleaning and prep, General FInishes Water Based Stain in Walnut was applied over the entire piece. One section at a time, the stain was applied using combination of a sponge brush and bristle brush to get into the many nooks and crannies. A dry brush was then used to remove the excess stain and to avoid puddling. A dry cloth was then used to wipe down each section to remove addition excess stain. After allowing the stain to dry, a microfiber towel was then used to hand buff the cabinet paying special attention to bring out the grain, depth and details of this magificant cabinet. A top coat was then applied to protect the finish.

White and Patterned Grain Mid Century Modern Credenza

This super unique mid century modern credenza by American of Martinsville was striped and sanded to reveal a beautiful grain pattern on the outer drawers. To highlight that stunning grain, I skipped the stain and applied a custom oil topcoat. The case and doors of the piece were sanded, filled where necessary, and primed, before it was hand painted and sealed with several coats of General Finishes High Performance Top Coat in Satin.

It came from where?? This sweet little table was beside a bed in a (scary) defunct care facility that was being sold. Someone had started the refinishing process years ago, leaving various layers of stain and varnish all over it, and areas had been damaged. It was so ugly it was almost overlooked! Thank goodness it was rescued and restored!

The bold burls of this Mid-Century Weiman side table glow under hand buffed Tung Oil. General Finishes Lamp Black creates a dramatic frame around the burled doors and top, creating an art deco effect. Paired with the original hardware, this finish creates a statement piece for any living room. Jaw-dropping gorgeous!

White and Burl Mid Century Modern Dresser

This mid century modern dresser was redone to emphasize the sculpted pulls and burl panels on the drawers. The drawer fronts were prepped by cleaning and sanding the sections to be painted, taping them off, and hand painting them using Ultra White Pro Classic paint by Sherwin Williams. After several coats, the paint was sealed with General Finishes High Performance topcoat in Satin. I also refreshed the top of the piece by lightly sanding - just removing the sheen, not sanding to bare wood - and applying General Finishes Gel Stain in Antique Walnut. The top was then sealed with a custom mixed wipe-on oil finish.

The Black Antique Buffet

From worn out and ready for the trash, this makeover was one of the biggest challenges at the time. When I found her she was covered in chipping, peeling and bubbling veneer. After cleaning all of the veneer off and repairing what I could, I removed the old finish from the doors, drawers and the legs! What a project that was in itself, but it sure paid off! Look at that wood grain! We had to paint the bottom drawer because of damage, but I think the rest of the wood speaks for itself. Everything else was painted in a deep rich black and finished off with wax. What a show stopper!
