This 12 drawer piece originally had center doors. The doors were removed and divided shelves added. All TWELVE drawers were sanded and given a coat of GF flat finish sealer. After dry I came back in with a light hand rubbed finish of GF java. I seal my sanded wood surfaces prior to adding java as I'm able to control the depth of finish. After dry another coat of flat sealer applied.

Modern Waterfall

This beautiful waterfall set was one of the first sets I ever acquired, and it rested in y daughters room as is prior to me starting refinishing. She upgraded to mid century modern, and we refinished and sold this stunning set.

We wanted to maintain as much origial character as possible, as well as the bakelite hardware. There were many veneer issues, required bondo and fill, but we were able to keep the continuity of the set.

The pieces were refinished with BIN primer, SW Creamy, GF Brown Mahogany Gel Stain and HPTC. The headboard was adorned with a wood applique.

This oak table and chairs needed a modern refresh for a college student's first apartment. All surfaces were fully cleaned and sanded. After applying a slip coat of mineral spirits, we updated the top with GF Brown Mahogany gel stain. The top received three coats of HPTC. The base was primed in BIN, and painted in SW Alabaster Kem Aqua water based lacquer. The chairs were ralso refinished and reupholstered in a funky new pattern.

Diamond Front Show Stopper

Sometimes these old pieces are covered up with such a thich stain you can see the beauty in the wood grain. Check the grain out in this 9 drawer Diamond front dresser! All it needed was a little love from our friend Java Gel. Less is more sometimes, too much can be complicated and when a piece speaks for itself you need to respect it. I sanded the entire piece down to the bare walnut wood veneer. I then wood conditioned with GF Wood Conditioner, applied GF Nutmeg gel stain on entire piece and accented with GF Java gel stain with help from my Frog tape. I then sprayed the piece with GF Clear Enduro.

I picked up this beauty for only $40!!! This gorgeous antique dresser was given a very unique makeover. This particular revitalization was a super fun project. I went out of the box when it came to my vision on this dresser. This dresser sold very quickly and received a lot of attention on my social media platforms.

I had a customer bring this piece to me to have refinished. Her mother purchased it in 1967 and painted it red . She wanted it brought back to its former glory! I had to strip three times , it was primed and painted in oil base paint . I then sanded it to remove any other unwanted paint . I then stained with nutmeg gel stain to give it a beautiful rich color . I finished off with high performance top coat .

The Barn Rescue

I found this beautiful antique pie safe buried in a 150 year old barn and knew I had to rescue it and bring it back to life. It took me over 2 hours to dig it out, and find all the parts possible to put it back together. After getting it home, I layed all the pieces out on the driveway to see what I had and didn't have, and to my amazement I had eveything. As you can see from the before picture, the main body frame was warped and leaning to the left so after disassembly I had to straighten the main supports by soaking in water for a couple of days and then placing them on the bench and slowly with clamps straighten them out. This process took two week to accomplish. All the 1/4" inserts were warped badly and could not be used, so those inserts that you see in the second picture are new. Those were only items I had to replace, everything else is original. I spent 4 days sanding and reassembling the pie safe back to it's original glory. I applied 3 coats of General Finishes Georgian Cherry Gel Stain to the outside and top, and then sprayed 3 coats of General Finishes High Performance Satin Clear to the outside and inside. The original door tins were lightly cleaned and left as is, and the hardware was given the same cleaning and reinstalled. I was laughed at by many when I brought this home, but I could see the potential in this beautiful piece, and it needed to be brought back to life. Those that were laughing, are now praising me after seeing the final product. I do my best in trying to preserve the past.....

This small server was updated using chalk paint by Annie Sloan. Sealed with GF Flat Out Flat. Legs were sanded and stained using GF Java Gel stain, because legs like that were meant to be shown off! New glass knobs in brown.
