We stained the wood details a rich custom color using General Finishes Dye and Gel Stains and finished the drawers in a flat-black to have a chic and modern look. Modern Makeover

This MCM dresser has had two makeovers. Durning the first refinishing it was done with an awesome geometric pattern on the front. Amid awesome, it sat unsold for quite some time. I then decided it needed another makeover, this time a more neutral color palette, but still keeping with the mcm design.

Two times the charm, this piece has been completely refinished “twice” with all General Finishes products.

This is another one of those pieces that we bought and almost didnt. It was missing feet and pretty beat up. Luckily, with most mid century pieces under all the ugly is beautiful wood grain. Lots of elbow grease, great products and some experience and you got yourself a gem! This bold look a great vibe for simple pieces. I sanded this piece, filled imperfections, primed, sprayed lamp black milk paint and sealed with GF High Performance Top Coat. All the wood on this piece was completely refinished, added GF wood conditioner, applied GF Nutmeg gel stain and sealed with GF High Performance top coat. Also added was the simple brass knobs to complete the modern look on this mid century classic.

Jewell is a Bassett MCM piece. I watered down some General Finishes Dark chocolate and applied 2 coats all over. Seal with crystalac waterbased satin. Used Modern Masters Copper on the legs, inset areas, & hardware. The top drawers I ran out of patina spray so I did a faux patina finish using some modern masters copper, watered down GF Patina Green, some GF Dark Chocolate some watered down deco art americano cadium yellow and watered down light turquoise acrylic craft paint and I shaved some earthtoned colored chalk sticks (rust, dark brown, dark red) into this while still wet. Once dry, I sealed the faux patina areas with GF Flat Out Flat.

Contemporary Farmhouse

This unique MCM piece had wonderful lines in its original wood finish. I started with a paint out of the body with highlight of the front drawer panels. The addition of inset wood to the drawer front panels and a custom added top took this piece to a new level. The fabricated metal legs were added and this simple "Rustic elegant" piece was born.

Vintage Skovby Rosewood Credenza Restore

Restored and refinished this amazing Danish Credenza. Stripped old finish, sanded, protected with a tung oil finish, added legs and painted the drawers and outline detail on the front of the piece.

Dark Brassy Duo

They start out looking like a boring pair, add a little General Finish love and boom they become beautiful! The frames of these dressers were sanded, imperfections filled, primed, sprayed with GF Black Enduro in Satin and sprayed with GF Clear Enduro. The drawer fronts and legs were completely sanded down, applied GF Wood Conditioner, GF New Pine gel stain and sprayed with Clear Enduro in flat. Added a little bling with these simple brass knobs.
