A famiy silver plate tray was wearing off and could not be resilvered. To save it I decided to paint it with AS Lem Lem and Provence along with three metallics: silver, antique copper and royal gold. I used Aloha Coatings Pearl Plaster with stencils to get an embossed effect. I created a crazed effect on the back with a stencil and antique copper. After layering and sealing as I went along I was pleased that the tray was sealed and could be used for many more years. Bravo!

TAA DAA! This was a fan favorite color of my followers on Instagram. They voted on the color Bayside by Valspar paint. I then took this peice to the next level with BLING on the rhinestone flower knobs and adding metallic gold powder to my stain.

This serpentine chest of drawers is a royal pairing of blue and gold. The gold gilded scrollwork stands out against the handsome blue called Denali blue from Chalky Chicks chalk paint. The top is stained walnut.

This outdated waterfall chest has been brought back to life with a base of coastal blue and a layer of Rustoleum Metallic Green, and than sanded back over to show the coastal blue peeking through. I'm totally in love with the pattern of the finish. I cleaned and sprayed hardware gold for a final touch.

This exquisite dresser was brought to me with a request to make it Turquoise and incorporate some gold accents.

I painted it with GF Patina Green and applied one coat of GF HP topcoat. Next, I applied different areas with Van Dyke Brown glaze to give it some depth. I did very light distressing on the edges and trim. I used gold Gilding wax on the existing hardware as well as the trim between the drawers. Then finally I sealed the whole piece in HP topcoat.

Turquoise and Gold- mission accomplished!

This vintage 70’s armoire was dingy and dated and was crying for the glamorous makeover she deserved!

Inspired by a visit to Versailles, we hand painted her in several coats of Annie Sloan Paris Grey Chalk Paint, carefully sanding between for smoothness. We then sealed her in Annie Sloan Clear Wax and applied Dark Wax to her details for that perfect aged charm. Gold gilding is focal on this piece, hand applied to highlight all of the edges and gorgeous floral details as well as brighten up the dull hardware.

The Silver Princess

This princess dresser transformed to a metallic beauty fit for a queen! It was hard to capture the essence of the metallic beauty from straight on in photographs, which is the reason for so many angled shots.

Fully cleaned with a DNA scrub, then sprayed with BIN Primer, and sanded, this piece was base coated in PPG Nautical Star. I created a thinned color wash with MM Metallics in Pewter over the entire piece, and went back and dry brushed in thinned GF Snow White and more MM Pewter. The dresser next received a coat of Valspar Antiquing Glaze and a top coat. The final touches were adorned with Gilders Paste in German Silver and Silver.

'Frenchie' Occasional Table

This little table was a freebie but needed lots of work; now I normally say no to these but I could see the potential so took it and put it to one side until I could think of what to do with it.

Lots of filling, sanding and prepping later, I could start painting.

Two coats of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint (ASCP) in Old Ochre were applied. Once dry, I stippled another two Annie Sloan colours - Duck Egg Blue and Old White) on in a (sort of) random fashion using two brushes to create both texture and a slightly mottled 'stone' look.

The next day, I then (very delicately) dry brushed on Frenchic Sugar Puff as I wanted to tone down the bluey look a bit. This was followed by Fusion's Antique Glaze. The pièce de résistance was adding a touch of ASCP Gold Gilding Wax to the details and feet.

A couple of coats of General Finishes High Performance Top Coat in Matt later and ... et voila! Tres Jolie, don't you think?
