I restored this amazing vanity that was originally painted green. First step was stripping it, sanding it, cleaning it and then painting! I predrilled holes and added vanity lights in the two areas were side mirrors were originally. Painted it black while adding light distressing throughout. Sealed it with some annie sloan wax to enrich the colors and then buffed it out with a high speed buffer. Turned out pretty neat and look at that burl wood they had painted over...wow!

This apothecary cabinet just needed what the name of this category is “a little black dress”. When I picked up this cabinet it was in excellent condition. It needed a bit of updating with a new color and some cool new label holders from D Lawless.

Refinished with all General Finishes products and some very light distressing, this cabinet can be used in a multitude of ways.

I found this dresser online and I could see the potential beneath the stickers...all over this beauty. Years of kids making their "masterpiece" one sticker at a time. As soon as I got home and pulled it out of the van I got to work, I had a vision. A vision of black. A vision of simple sophistication.

I couldn't help but have the Beatles classic Blackbird running through my head while painting this beauty. What was once an ugly duckling is now a beautiful bird, just waiting for a chance to fly.

This set was a custom designed by my client! I love painting a front and leaving the frame wood. On this set we completely sanded the frame and legs, applied GF wood conditoner, accented with GF nutmeg gel stain and sealed with GF High Performance top coat. For the drawer fronts I sanded, filled any imperfections, primed, sprayed with GF Lamp Black milk paint and sprayed with GF High Performance Topcoat. I updated the hardware using Rustoleum gold spray paint.

Just another outdated brown piece of furniture waiting to be brought back to life and to be loved again. Found in a basement of an estate sale, I knew this beauty had potential. After a good cleaning and some prep, I painted her with two coats of General Finishes Chalk Style paint in Black Pepper. I lightly distressed the edges and finished her off with a coat of Valspar furniture wax.

A good scrub, a coat of Black, and a wipe down with hemp oil; of course a few secret techniques to add my signature. The drawers are wiped clean with Lemon Verbena Salve.
