Updated and up cycled a mid century modern none draw dresser. The drawers, heavy in laquer, were stripped and stained with a rich dark walnut stain. Then top coated with General Finishes product. The body of the dresser was painted with a 50/50 mix of lamp black and driftwood which created a beautiful rich dark gray! The tired hardware was given a splash of gold spray paint. Going to be used as a media cabinet.

I am in love with this color combination! I mixed 2 parts Bayberry Chalk Paint with 1 part Patina Green. It created this true green to paint this pressed back chair. It is a little darker than the photo shows; simply beautiful! This is a color I will use on lots of furniture in the future.

What a statement piece this turned out to be! This piece was brought to us by a client to go in her newly renovated bedroom. We needed something that would compliment the white shiplap walls with the dark floors and white bedding. After many color mixing sessions we finally decided on a 2:1 ratio of Fjord Blue and Chalk White Chalk Style Paints. After 3 coats of the custom color mix was applied we highlighted all the detail in Snow White glaze effects and sealed the whole thing in 3 coats of HP Flat. We also did a King size bed to complete the room!

Rockin' Retro Teal

General Finishes Milk Paint just isn't for furniture anymore! I tested the waters in revamping our little retro camper. The camper was first sanded, primed, and thoroughly cleaned. The whole camper has been painted with General Finishes Milk Paint inside and out. The color I am focusing on here is the teal color. This color was achieved by mixing two parts GF Persian Blue Milk Paint to one part Patina Green Milk Paint. The white was done in GF Snow White Milk Paint and the red stripe was a 50:50 ratio of GF Holiday Red and Brick Red Milk Paints. The whole camper was sealed with three coats of General Finishes High Performance Poly in Semi-Gloss. I take our rockin' little "glamper" to flea markets and set her up like a booth. It's a great way to sell GF paints by showing people all the possibilities of General Finishes products and their wonderful durability.

Mixed up a little persimmon and snow white with a touch of brick red milk paints highlighted in glorious gold.

Credenza that stands out as a beautiful piece in any home. Looks like a buffet but it's a working piece in a home office.

Flora the Blooming Cabinet

This dated oak hutch top was begging for a dramatic transformation. The beautiful floral wallpaper was the design inspiration for this piece. I wanted a nice light gray color and since I had General Finishes Chalk Paint in Empire Gray and Milk Paint in Snow White on hand, I decided to mix the two. Some light distressing completed the body along with attaching some new Queen Anne style legs to support the large piece. The leaded glass doors had etched roses in the top oval, this wasn't working for the piece so I decided to mimic the look of antiqued mercury glass with Rustoleum Mirror Effect and gold spray paint.

For this teal I mixed four colors. Klein Blue, Emerald, Snow White, & Lamp Black. My sister and I had a couple glasses of wine the night we mixed it so I became more adventurist with using such a bright color! It has become a very requested color and a lot of other furniture artist have asked me for the recipe! I am happy to share! This finish was sprayed with an HVLP sprayer and top coated with GF HPTC Flat. Java Gel Stain is the top drawer color.

This buffet has been painted in a color range of dark navy to pale blue, resembling a beautiful cloudless sky.

I started with Antique White milk paint at the bottom and Coastal Blue milk paint at the top. Then, with a damp brush and working quickly, I just blended the 2 colors together until I saw the "cloudless sky". I waited 2 days for the paint to completely dry since it was watered down, then applied High Performance Top Coat. The hardware was updated to a brushed nickel to complete the look.

I loved being able to use this buffet as my canvas and my customer was even more overjoyed with the outcome than I was!

Custom mix of Charleton Blue and Bone White Chalk Paint with Van Dyke Brown Glaze Effects to match a clients interior decor. She has wanted a piece I had done in Stillwater blue but it wasn't going to work for the turquoise undertones in her room. I worked with a swatch of her wall color to come up with this color as a complement. The top and exposed drawers were white washed with grey stain and wax mixed with bone white and grey paint. New oil rubbed bronze hardware.

Blue/Black dresser

This dresser was used and abused, We got her ready for a fresh new look, We started with a great mix of Coastal Blue and Lamp Black. 2 parts Coastal Blue and 1 part Lamp Black. We took the great hardware that was orgianal to the dresser and took rub and buff in gold. For the top of the dresser we prepped her for a Java gel . We finished it off with a satin poly.
